Body Dialogue

Today’s presenter was Rosemary Anderson of Body Dialog Massage. She asked, “Have you ever wished that you could keep the positive changes from a massage for a few days longer?” This morning she told SRC members about Kinesio taping methods, which can do just that. She is known locally for her versions of therapeutic and restorative massage.  Taping is just one add-on to those services, to make them more effective.

Kinesio taping is helpful for low back issues, edema (swelling), post-operative pain, stiff neck, scars, scoliosis, headaches and pain in almost any major joint of the body. The tape is light, hypo-allergenic and allows free movement.

To apply it effectively Anderson first needs to understand what the tape can do, then the injury presented, and then what she wants to accomplish with the tape. Anderson advises you always work with a professional for your first taping and ‘stick’ with a well-known brand of tape. Contact her at 480-720-6853.
