Meeting Notes – October 12, 2011

Ms. Ahna Bridenbaugh, L.Ac (licensed acupuncturist) and master of Chinese medicine was the featured presenter at Wednesday’s meeting.

Using acupuncture, Ms. Bridenbaugh says she can relieve any pain by 50% or more – instantly! She also can eliminate any one allergy in a single visit. Because acupuncture is a primary care medicine, it can help you resolve any symptoms you may present with. Acupuncture can effectively treat everything from the common cold to cancer and everything in-between.

At her riveting presentation, she demonstrated a new piece of software for acupuncturists that can help and confirm diagnoses, because it literally shows the energy level in the energy meridians. She even demonstrated the software on herself, which showed well-balanced energy. The club could have watched and listened for another thirty minutes for this real-time demonstration of the amazing world within the body.

Mr. Ken Hughes of NAZTEQ Consulting was the featured speaker.

He was born in Anaheim, CA. His mother moved to San Diego–his dad and stepdad were both in the Navy. His stepdad retired at age 40, wanted to move the family back to his home town of Rogue River, Oregon, a town of 1000. But he went even further and moved to Foots Creek, Oregon that was so small it didn’t even have a listed population. He finally left for San Francisco where his sister lived. He lived in Hawaii for awhile and returned to San Francisco and lived either there or in Marin County for 17 years.

He moved out of the fog and into sunny Sedona in 2004. He has traveled and backpacked through Central America twice. He has studied large format photography, and loves to hike.

Meeting Notes: June 22, 2011

Ms. Ahna Bridenbaugh, L.Ac., licensed acupuncturist and master of Chinese medicine was our showboater at Wednesday’s meeting. She refers to the herbal formulas she uses in conjunction with acupuncture as Asian medicine–all natural, and designed to get patients off medications that are narcotic with the outcome of eliminating pain. She described a recent patient who had just had a massive surgery for an obstructed bowel, who was taken massive narcotics, but was still experiencing pain at a level 7 (out of 10), whose pain subsided to a level 1 after acupuncture.

It is important to understand that acupuncture usually requires a series of treatments to deal with recurrent pain, unless there was a very recent accident (less than 30 days–best after less than 24 hours). She had a severe whip[lash patient who came in right away, and the pain was permanently alleviated after just one treatment.

Acupuncture was designed 4000 years ago to keep people from getting sick, and the emperor’s acupuncturist’s head was in danger if the emperor ever got sick. Ms. Bridenbaugh then effectively and powerfully demonstrated muscle testing with her allergy kit, which she uses to diagnose, then treat allergy symptoms. 15 short documentaries of Ms Bridenbaugh explaining Chinese herbs can be found with this link: http://www.ehow.com/videos-on_6962_herbal-remedies-illness.html

Ms. Laurie Wilson of Verde Valley Tile was the speaker and humorously described her recent getaway to Alaska on a cruise out of Los Angeles. She had never even seen a cruise ship–2000 passenger and 2000 crew. Juneau, Alaska was the first stop after 3 days of motion sickness, and the city was full of the passengers from three other cruise ships, so she went to museums, and saw totem poles, kayaks, toys and dolls among other things. In Ketichikan, Alaska, the museum had a lot of historical artifcats from the gold rush, and went on the “married men’s trail,” which was brothels built up on piers. She watched eagles fishing for 20 minutes. The food on the ship was amazing, especially the Beef Wellington. She ended up in Vancouver, went to Stanley Park, and saw raccoons, lots of animals, saw a whale’s tail and dolphins.
